Once again the 76ers lose a close, hard fought game. After leading by 15 in the 2nd the 76ers found a way to allow 55 in the 2nd half to a Bulls team averaging just 94.2 points per game. Dalembert had another big game, pulling down 20 rebounds and scoring 21 points. If Sammy could only stay consistent at this level, things would be different. In 9 of the last 22 games Dalembert has been solid, with double doubles - hitting 15+ rebounds 5 times, and 15+ points 8 times. In the other games, Sammy has been awful - 6 or less rebounds 4 times, and 6 or less points 6 times. He is statistically having his best year ever, but if he wants to remain the future of the 76ers at center, consistency is the key. Andre Miller, 1 on 4 - (AP Photo/Rusty Kennedy)

A.I. is A.I. No one else, not Iggy, not Andre. Iverson once again displayed his innate ability to put the ball in the hole, dropping 38 points all while dishing 8 assists. Iguodala has a solid, but quiet game. Andre Miller contines to showcase his skills, putting up 21 attempts, 6 assists, and 3 steals. He must really want to be traded.

Sixers (12-16) whoop Heat (8-21)

On Christmas day I watched the Heat lose to the Cavs. The game wasn’t much of a struggle for the Cavs. LeBron did his thing, the Cavs won. Wade still gets tons of accolades, but no one talks about him leading the league in turnovers (4.5/game). I do wish that someday, it won’t be any time soon, that the 76ers play in one of these X-Mas days games. It would be nice to root for a team that matters. The Heat are awful, the Sixers are awful. Iguodala had one his best game of the season thus far, 28 points, (season high) 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Miller played really well with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 12 assists. He really must want to be traded. Louis Williams and Korver contributed off the bench with 13 a piece. The real confusing part is why Shaq can’t get enough touches. He only had 4 attempts (only 7 in the X-Mas day game). Again the 76ers win a game they should not.

The 76ers fought hard and Iguodala finished the game with a game winning jumper. The Sixers were losing most of the game, but came alive in the 4th quarter and hung on to the victory. Andre Miller continues his league wide tryout, scoring 29 points. When will they trade him? Only time will tell.

Dalembert almost netted a triple double, with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 9 blocks. He shot 8 of 8 from the free thrown line - he actually raised his free throw numbers to a respectable 73% this season. Willie Green seems to have broken out of his shooting slump - Willie’s actually shooting 53% over the last 5 games! Best of all, Andre Miller only took 7 shots! All of this good news should be tempered by the recent opponents. Two against the Knicks, Houston in a slump, and now the worst team in the league - the Timberwolves. Kyle Korver isn’t just the token white shooter on the team. On his return the great white hope spread floor and scored 20 on 8-13 shooting, with 4 of 5 from threeland. On this night everyone played well. Andre Miller was close to a tripple double, 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 dimes. Iguodala had 20 and 11 assists, with only 2 TOs. This was the Bucks third home game in a tough schedule. They just beat LA and Dallas - so this game was a huge letdown, and they lost focus. The 76ers took advantage and never let up. The 76ers fought and clawed to overtime. But, once again a loss was written in the books. Iguodala got back on track scoring 26, grabbing 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks. Again, he tallied 4 turnovers. Andre Miller performed well also, scoring 23 on 9-15 shooting. Louis Williams played fairly well, but tripped up on the final possession of the gam. Instead of a shot, the Sixers got a turnover. Game over.

The Sixers lost their previous 4 games by an average of 14 points. Most of the game it looked like the result would be the same. The 76ers were down 25 in the 2nd quarter, and at half time had only managed 27 points. Dalembert picked up his 5th foul at the 6 minute mark of the 3rd quarter. He only played 10 minutes. Then the Sixers made their run - or I should say, Louis Williams made his run. In the last 3 minutes of the third, Williams scored 10 points, bringing the score to 73-56. He continued this into the 4th, making two more buckets and stealing the ball. The deficit was then 13 and the 11,000+ in the stadium awoke. Williams scored 7 in the 4th, and Iguodala finished the run with a mid range jumper to seal the win. After doing almost nothing the fist half, Williams finished with 19 points, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 4 rebounds. Igoudala led the team with 22 points, but again had too many turnovers with 6. Iguodala is currently leading the league in TOs/game with 5.1. The best part of this comeback win (88-92) was that Maurice Cheeks learned his lesson from a few games back. He didn’t, like before, bring Andre Miller back in the game. He let Williams finish and the finish was sweet. I’m happy to say I was there to see it. • The 76ers trailed most of the game, but continued to battle every step of the way. In the end the Sixers lost to the Raptors for the 2nd time this season, 105-103. This game competitive, and a good portion of that is thanks to Iguodala and Louis Williams. Iguodala had another solid all-around game with 26 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. Williams scored 19 of his 21 in the 4th quarter, sparking the Sixers to a late comeback. His overall numbers again make me wonder why Miller gets so many minutes. In the 4th quarter Miller missed every attempt he took. Miller shot 40%, and racked up 7 assists with 2 TOs in 37 minutes. Williams scored 21 on 60% shooting, with 3 assists and 0 turnovers in just 20 minutes. Maybe Cheeks knows best - and believes that Williams isn’t ready to full minutes. But if this continues, the questions will continue to mount. Iguodala elevates against Bosh- (AP Photo/Rusty Kennedy)
